These Terms apply to photography work done by Tamara Artis and by booking a photo you have agreed to accept and respect them. It is advised that each new customer reads everything before ordering any kind of a custom photography work.

 

 

GENERAL INFOS

 

This is a hobby which means I edit photos in my free time and do the shooting during my usual online times. My time zone is SLT+9 so please keep that in mind when contacting me. Most of the photos are booked after the main details have been discussed and agreed upon.

 

I like customers with ideas or ones who show photo examples of what they want. Customers who have specific ideas or consider themselves picky need to provide as much infos as they can, ones who give me artistic freedom need to decide only about the time of the shooting and purpose of the photo.

 

I reserve the right to reject any photo request, specially if its a big project with short deadlines or the type of work that doesn’t fit my artistic preferences.

 

There are no other photographers working with me, from the first contact, arranging all details, photo editing and delivery, I do all the work. This is the only way for me to keep the quality at the satisfying level.

 

In general, I work slow and prefer to book less so I can concentrate on each photo.

 

 

 

BEFORE CONTACT - DECIDE ABOUT THE PHOTO WORK

 

Most of my bookings are future ones and before setting up appointment I need to know what kind of work you want. Decide about the type and number of photos.

 

There are several types of photographs I create; single avatar photography work, couples or family/group photos, vendor photography work, photos for contests, profile/banner photos for various websites etc.

Besides these there is also a difference in editing features and work involved; I can offer cheaper photos that don’t go into every possible detail or give you a full treatment with wow effect.

 

I don’t create logos, don’t shoot weddings or any in-world events, don’t do porn or disturbing photography.

 

There is no discount for bulk orders and only way to get something for free is to be my VIP customer and get a random gift. I am open to charity work and any ideas that sound cool if I have time for it.

 

Please consult my price list and editing features to decide how much photos you will book and to make sure my terms fit your preferences. It helps if you have an idea or a photo as example of what you want to be made. I will not copy other works, it will be used only as a guidance for the general idea or style.

 

I can create poses and scenes for your shooting and for this I need you to decide about all relevant details so I can prepare everything before meeting you.

 

 

 

SETTING UP APPOINTMENT

 

Make sure our usual online times match, please use ONLY Second Life time as reference when suggesting the appointment time and date. I am able to meet clients from 1-3am SLT and 1-3pm SLT. If needed and if possible I will try to accommodate you and meet during some other times but not after 3pm or before 12am SLT.

Each customer is expected to suggest at least 2 time frames or certain dates, that fit within my times.

 

If I already have a significant number of photos booked, I will put your name and infos on my list of future customers and only arrange approximate date with confirmation at least 2 days before suggested date.

 

 

 

PREPARING FOR THE SHOOTING

 

Shooting usually lasts 15-30 mins for one photo, depending of how much work we have to make (for example if I made a custom couple pose for you and we didn’t try it before the shooting there is a chance I will want to redo the pose if something is not perfect).

 

You are expected to show up on time and fully prepared for the shooting, if we are making a couple/group photo you have to arrange that everyone shows up on time and ready. I understand that things happen and don’t mind waiting for a few minutes but if we are waiting for your partner to login and not sure when that will happen you will be asked to reschedule another appointment.

 

During the shooting you can give me any pointers or ideas you have or notify me if you changed your mind about something. After the shooting is finished and I start to edit the photo I will make only minor changes, same as for the finished photos.

 

All poses can be tried before the shooting, if you want to chose one of the poses from my studio please let me know, I will show you where to go and leave you alone to try in peace. In this case you are expected to write down name of the pose/stand on a notecard and save it for the shooting.

 

At the time of the shooting all new clients are expected to pay 500L deposit for each photo booked, remaining balance will be paid after you approve the finished work. If there is something extra that needs to be paid you will be notified in advance. I can buy poses or props that are under 500L (value of the deposit) and will not charge it extra.

 

 

 

WAITING TIME AND REEDITING

 

Waiting time depends of how much work I have booked before yours and how much free time I have, usually 1-3 days for one photo. When setting up an appointment or at the time of the shooting you will be notified when to expect the finished photo. Please make sure to let me know if the work needs to be finished by a certain date.

 

In general I don’t redo my work. Minor fixes can be done but I spend long time editing the photos so please make sure to clearly explain what you need. If you want me to make big changes or completely redo the photo I will consider it as a completely new work and charge it accordingly. As a general rule, minor fix is something I can do in a few minutes while you are standing with me and waiting and I will do up to three minor fixes (it can be cropping, change of font size, some color corrections) free of charge. Anything beyond this will be charged accordingly to the amount of time and effort it asks.

 

During the editing process, if I get stuck or something happens and I need more time, I will notify you to see if that is okay with you.

 

If by any chance I miss to make something you clearly asked for, or make some mess, I will redo and fix everything needed ASAP.

 

 

 

PREVIEWING AND PAYMENTS

 

After finished, each photo is offered for a preview; I can upload a watermarked photo and send you a link to preview it, email it to you or leave it in my studio for you to see. At this time you can ask for up to three minor fixes, free of charge. Once the photo is approved I will make no modifications.

 

Finished and approved photos are delivered full perm with my signature, if asked/available you can get a full resolution photo, otherwise they will be sent in-world.

 

In order to receive the photos you have to pay the remaining balance, if you are not online I will leave the photos in my studio, boxed for you to buy.

 

 

 

REFUNDS

 

In every case where I have made a mistake, forgotten something or any other means of not making what you have clearly informed me, I will refund the deposit and if possible finish the photo as asked. Please make sure to have all informations written so we don’t miss anything.

 

In every case where you as a client have made my work hard (changing your mind after I have showed you the finished photo, repetitive missing of appointments, disrespect to my work or person) I will keep the deposit and refuse to continue working with you.

 

 

 

VIP’s

 

Yes I have VIP’s and these are people whose avatars look fits my personal style, people who tip me, people who help promote my work and my regular clients. They all have the advantage over new clients, get occasional rewards and other available benefits.

 

 

 

PERMISSIONS, PRIVACY AND USE OF THE PHOTOS

 

Although photos are delivered with full permissions you are not allowed to resell them. I never resell customers photos, they are only displayed as examples of my work.

 

I respect my clients privacy and if anything needs to be kept secret please let me know (your name, location of the shooting, specific photos you want to stay private etc.).

 

There is no rule about the photos that are uploaded on my websites, sometimes I forget, or photo didn’t turn out how I imagined and I don’t want to show it. Besides your privacy concerns, there is no way for you to influence which photos are posted.

 

If by any chance you lost the photo and need a new copy, please feel free to ask anytime but I can’t guarantee that I still have it.
